"Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on until completion in Christ Jesus." Phil. 1:6
Don't kill me, BUT I have never gotten the hang of this posterous thing. It should be easy, but I am going back to blogger. ::HUGE SIGH FROM BLOG READERS WHO WISH I'D STOP HOPPIN' ALL OVER CYBER SPACE!:: Yup. That was in all caps because I know you are yelling at me right now virtually. However, adding pictures of little man has got to be easy or I won't do it. I was a die hard scrapper (aka scrapbooking) for years and years. Now, I'm a mom...soon to be working mother, at that...and I want to keep up with this...
So today's post is just a catch up post. I have sat down to write something so many times about the last two weeks (almost) with Micah. Then something comes up every time! I'm sure you know how it is...
You are probably sick of this, and I'm sorry. On the bright side, I am now 39 weeks, people! Which means I won't be talking about my pregnancy anymore--I'll just move onto the child instead. I'll be one of those moms. =0) In all seriousness, here are the basic stats from yesterday's doc visit: Poundage gained: Gasp. I'm actually going to share this. Can't believe it myself. I have gained a total of 19 pounds, and I'm pretty stinking proud of myself even though my little sister gained like 12 pounds. She makes me...
Today was a fun day! Micah, you are deeply loved already! There were two showers given this week--one by my coworkers on Tuesday and the other by my class today. It was a fun surprise. We played shower games (guess how many gob stoppers are in the bottles, word scramble of baby words, and how big is Mrs.Confident's belly), ate cake, and I opened presents. Believe me, Micah, you are loved. It was really funny watching the kids try to figure out how big my belly was with crepe paper. Two of them hit it right on the...
Something tells me that the Lord is about to start the journey of a lifetime with me. I have no idea what I'm doing with a kid. Sure, I have a degree in it, but really? I know nothing. Give me a ten year old to adopt and I might have a chance. That's only because I've spent ten years with 25-50 ten year olds per year. I at least know how they operate. Newborns? Oh, boy! It is becoming more apparent the closer Micah gets to coming into our world...the Lord is going to be doing great and mighty things. He (God and...
Yesterday was that day. I drove to work as usual--if 36 weeks pregnant counts. As I entered the parking lot, I noticed some sharp pains in my lower abdomen again. Similar to the pains I had the day they sent me running home and the doc didn't know what was wrong with me. As I sat in the parking lot, I decided to try to get out of my car. Bad idea. I doubled over in pain almost immediately, and I was relieved to see that noone was around. See, if they were, they'd make me go home. Again. And I'd use up a sick day...
Pregnancy update #2,901. Just kidding, but I thought I'd update the latest in the world of Mrs. C and baby Micah. Went to the doc yesterday, and I have to say... I'm upset. Seems that a c-section may be in my future as we talked about dates, times, and options for the end of this pregnancy. She just really seemed to think that my amniotic fluid was too low for him to flip. She didn't encourage having a version (where the nurses actually flip the baby from the outside!) because of my small torso. My amniotic fluid...
Well, blog readers, pull up a chair if you want a funny story involving randomness and a pregnant lady. Remember I posted on Monday night all proud of myself? I had gotten so many things accomplished, it was going to be a great week, how I was on a roll... Apparently, I spoke way, way, way too soon! I went to work on Tuesday as usual. I wasn't feeling that great--tired, no sleep, morning sickness, etc. However, I've developed a "tough it out" attitude through this pregnancy. I haven't missed a day of work unless...
So, I think that I am now 35 weeks pregnant. How is that even possible? Seriously?? No major problems to report although I did have to deal with awful pains again this weekend. I am thinking they will probably get worse (if they are Braxton Hicks) or who knows at this point? I feel like most of the pregnancy has flown by but now? We're in a waiting game. I should post a picture, but I will later on when I get my professional awesome maternity pics. =) I still get told I look teeny-tiny, which is just fine with...
